Music for flute by J.S. Bach, Takemitsu, Karg-Elert, Godard, Schumann, Andersen, Génin, and Schubert. Described as a provider of “great sinuous magic” (Boston Musical Intelligencer), flutist Katherine (Katie) Lee Althen was recently named the 3rd prize winner of the New York Flute Club Competition. In May of 2016, Katie graduated from The Juilliard School with her Master of Music degree where she studied with the New York Philharmonic’s Robert Langevin. Katie received her Bachelor of Music degree from the New England Conservatory, where she studied under international flute soloist, Paula Robison, who describes Katie as a “true, intelligent artist” with “a wonderful sense of humor and awareness of life’s surprises”. All ticket proceeds benefit Mifflin Community Food Ministry.

The 9th annual
IX International Celebration of Imaginative Realism brings ninety juried imaginative realist artists from around the world to GoggleWorks to exhibit over 1,000 original works of art.
IX is the world’s largest groundbreaking art show, symposium, and celebration dedicated solely to imaginative realism – cutting edge contemporary realist painting and sculpture. Event highlights include film screenings in the GoggleWorks theater, lectures, talks, live artist demonstrations, workshops and more. Visit the IX website to purchase tickets!
