Usher in the holiday season with Keiko Matsui and Euge Groove

Winner of nine Tony Awards, Fiddler on the Roof
is set in the little village of Anatevka. The story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. "Sunrise, Sunset," "If I Were a Rich Man" and "Matchmaker, Matchmaker," are just a few of the well-known songs found in Fiddler on the Roof. Rich in historical and ethnic detail and requiring a cast of various ages, Reading Civic Theatre is honored to have the opportunity to bring this show to the Berks County area!

Tickets $25. Tickets can be purchased via the MIller Center website or by calling the box office at 610-607-6270. A 10% discount on each ticket is available for groups of 20 or more.

Visions of Sugarplums is an exciting new work that tells a magical holiday story through traditional theater, music, and dance. The title is an intentional nod to both The Nutcracker and Twas the Night Before Christmas. A delightful story, magic, movement, and music are sure to delight the family and be the perfect start for the holiday season. The San Francisco based GRAMMY® award-winning ensemble Chanticleer will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2018. Chanticleer is known around the world as "an orchestra of voices" for its seamless blend of twelve male voices ranging from soprano to bass, and its original interpretations of vocal literature. Chanticleer's popular A Chanticleer Christmas sold out in New York, Chicago, and New Jersey last season. This Christmas, Chanticleer will perform in Schaeffer Auditorium in its first return engagement since December of 1992. Come hear how this amazing chorus has been delighting audiences for 40 years. Gring's Mill park will soon be glowing with thousands of twinkling lights for the annual Holiday Lights at Gring's Mill program. Last year over 25,000 visitors came to walk through the park and enjoy the serene country setting. Each evening visitors can enjoy seasonal entertainment and visits with Santa in the barn, an HO scale model train display, as well as the walk-through light display around the park. Light refreshments available, and a $5 donation/car. For more information and a schedule of entertainment, visit the Berks County Parks and Recreation Department website.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: Alan Cooper Leadership in the Arts Award
Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation (MAAF) is pleased to announce the inaugural round of the Alan Cooper Leadership in the Arts Award. Named after MAAF's Executive Director from 1994-2017, the Alan Cooper Award honors an arts leader who has impacted the arts sector in meaningful ways including creating model programs, developing innovative partnerships, and embodying dedication to the arts and diverse artistic expression. Though not necessary for nomination, MAAF is interested in recognizing an arts leader who has made significant contributions via public-private partnerships or in international cultural exchange.


Nominations are being accepted through December 15, 2017.
Eligible nominees will have demonstrated impactful leadership in the arts within MAAF's nine state region of DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, USVI, VA, or WV. For more information please visit the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation website.
